Shorewood is a community association governed by Covenants, Conditions,& Requirements. These are designed to ensure our neighborhood remains a desirable one to live in, that the properties contained therein will retain and grow in value, and that in return, homeowners are able to better enjoy our neighborhood and our own property. An Architectural Review Request is required to evaluate any proposed exterior project for compliance with the covenants.
The covenants require an Architectural Request for any outdoor project that adds, alters, or removes anything on the outside of our homes, including color and material changes from the original.

Please contact the Shorewood Association Board if you need assistance determining if you're project requires an architectural review.
Any time after a project has been submitted to the Architectural Review Committee and approval to proceed has been received.
An Architectural approval is valid for one year from the date of approval. If the project has not started within this time frame, it will require a re-submission.
A violation will be cited, requiring all work to be stopped until the Architectural Review Committee can ascertain that the project is in compliance with the covenants. If it is, the project will be approved to continue. If not, any work in place that doesn't meet the covenants will be required to be removed and restored to the original state. If work continues without approval a fine will be levied and submitted to the association attorney.
The covenants allow the Architectural Review committee up to 30 days to respond to a request. However, the committee will make every effort to complete the review as soon as possible for you to start. Please plan your project accordingly to allow enough time for the review.
